I am using a cool whipped frosting as the inside and outside of a cake. Can i put the frosting on then put it in the fridge and it or wait till last minute? Im afraid of the frosting drying out. I had some in a bowl and the top sides were getting kinda stuck to the bowl. Will it be ok on the cake if i put it on now for sat?
The one and only time I made Cool Whip frosting, it was a frosting I made with Cool Whip and not the company's premade stuff. As for the homemade stuff, the inside stayed nice and creamy, but the outside got sticky after day 2. It would've been fine if we had eaten it all that day, but the leftovers didn't get eaten because of the texture change. That may have just been the recipe I used though. Best of luck.
