I am about to stack a cake.  I have my bottom cakes dowls ready to insert.  I was wanting to off-set the top tier.  I don't want it exactly in the middle.  Can i off-set my top tier by placing the dowls in the bottom tier exactly where the top cake will be sitting(off-set)?  It will be near the edge, and I am afraid the edge of the bottom cake might crack or not support it.  What are your thoughts before i try it...

Asure that's exactly how it's done -- place it with confidence and accuracy --
