I was wondering if anyone has a pound cake recipe that uses cake mix and butter instead of oil. I found one from the duncan hines website:

  • 1 box of Moist Deluxe Butter Recipe Golden Cake Mix
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of melted butter
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 7 eggs
  • I am not to crazy about putting 7 eggs in  a cake because i am scared the cake might taste eggy.
  • I found another cake mix pound cake recipe that i think came from the cake mix doctor:
  • 1 box of cake mix
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of oil
  • 3.5 oz package of jello vanilla pudding
  • 4 eggs.
  • With this recipe i wonder if it would work if i substituted butter for the oil. I think oil makes cake real moist andi do not think that pound cake should be that moist that is why I would rather use butter .
