My question is based on how to decorate the top of the cupcake cake. Are these frozen buttercream or is this image hand done. If so is there a step by step tutorial on how it was done. Can anyone help I really appreciate it.

AThank you. I figure it was but did they use a template to get the image part so detailed.

several ways to do it -- you could apply a fbt then star it all in -- you could freehand it -- you could cut out pattern pieces and do it section by section -- you could use a kopykake machine and use a light to impose the image onto the cake and fill in the blanks -- i'm sure there's other ways too

Those are so amazing and the details are so precise on the character's expressions etc! I would never be able to get the expression and face right!!
