Floral Print On Black Fondant Backdrop??

How would I go about doing this bottom tier of the cake? This gorgeous cake is by Hey there cupcake and i just love it! TIA

Thats what I assumed... any other way I could do that? Without the machine? 

I was thinking black fondant, then using white hand painted sugar paste cutouts and attaching them to the cake?

AThat's pretty time consuming! I don't know where you are, but you should be able to buy pre-printed edible image sheets online, it really depends how long you have before you need to make this cake.

You could hand paint it if you had the inclination.

She uses printed wafer paper and wraps it around the tier, so that's what it is. You can buy it online, there are a bunch of people who sell it. Do a google search for printed wafer paper.
