AI'm making my sister's surprise birthday cake. It was supposed to be a quarter but it looks horrible. Please tell me how I can fix this.

if you remove what you have and start over you need to level the top flat -- the bust looks good just needs to be a bit smaller and use a needle or a toothpick to inscribe some hair and the eye then add the lettering--

other than removing and starting over with a flat surface -- just add the hair and the eye and write 25 (cents) the character that's a c with a line through it on either side --

is that fondant? my quarter i'm looking at here is smooth at the bottom of the bust--what are those markings you have there -- something on a different variety of quarter?

i don't know how much re-creation you want to do here -- you could remove the amoebas there on the bottom and make it look like the quarter was in a coin holder where just the top part of the coin shows -- so you could place a different color half moon shape over the bottom part of the bust and then it could just cover the sides as well if you wanted --

i'm just tossing out possibilities for you

or you could remove the amoebas/footprints there at the bottom and pile up a bunch of silver coins to cover that area and just look like a bunch of real size quarters --

she's gonna love it -- you can pull this out of the fire --

how you doing?

so what are you going to do?

Take it down level the top, add details, take out the 1989, and place them on my cake board.
