Can I use Candiquik America's candy coating to make ganache?

AI'm assuming a candy coating contains a fat other than cocoa butter eg. palm oil or similar hydrogenated or saturated fat so it sets easily. It will probably work but it will not taste good AT ALL. Get yourself some real chocolate, then it will be divine.

I have never used that brand of candy coating before. However, I make ganache all the time using the Merckens Candy Coatings and it turns out amazing :) I use the wilton ganache recipe. Hope this helps!
