Hi everyone,

I want to decorate a cake with MMF. I am not sure what the process are.

Should I let it rest over night in the fridge or at room temp?

If I want to use the fondant the same day, how long should it rest?

And can I make figures out of the same fondant?

Thank you.

Ella, best to let MMF rest overnight. Double wrap in clingfilm. I can't remember if I've done it before, but I'm fairly sure you can add tylose to the fondant to make figures with it.

AYes, adding tylose/cmc to mmf works. You can make mmf quiet long in advance btw. Make a big batch and use as you need. Saves you the time and mess making a new batch for every cake...
