AWanted to ask if someone can tell me if I can make this cake with butter cream instead of fondant because the customer doesn't like fondant and can you tell me what sizes the cakes are lol....I'm new to this and the customer texted me this pic I know I'll have to do the get out of rice krispies and fondant and the hat she wanted it to be the baby smash cake...can someone please help and is 90 $ a reasonable price!! Your pan sizes will depend on how many servings she wants.


Here is a serving chart which I hear is the industry standard:


Also, you're running into copyright issues here. You can't sell copyright characters legally even if everyone else is doing it.


$90 is not worth your time, let alone your ingredients. Do a search on here for Pricing and you'll find all kinds of helpful threads. Pricing can be complicated, but the Pricing threads on here explain it very well :)


And be careful of people who just want cheap cakes! They will hem and haw and try to get a $20 cake to feed 50 people (that's only $0.40 per serving!).

If she will only pay $90 for a copyrighted cake that could potentially land you in lawyer hell, she's not worth it. Sounds like she's just shopping around for a shmoe.

AI haven't have have her a price yet I was just wondering...but yea I understand about the copy right! :-)
