Hi all ,

my 6 year old son's birthday is soon and he loves football. Now I'm thinking about baking a football related birthday cake for him. Do you have any ideas what I could do and how? I guess a football itself might be a bit too difficult as I just started to work with icing. Any ideas or advises?

AMaybe the logo of his favorite football team on top of the cake. You can make it in advance. You could even print it on edible paper if you think you can't do it out of fondant.. Of course there's plenty more you can do, but would be a bit more difficult though. What techniques are you familiar with already?

hi, thanks for your quick answer and the great idea :-) I just started with icing so this would be my third cake. There is a lot I need to learn about icing. It's a good idea with the edible paper is nice. I will try that one..thanks for your help :-)
