Hi,

I have been doing a bit of research. I wanted to buy a silhouette cameo to decorate my cakes with some intricate patterns and also maybe make some custom stencils. I know I can use it for stencils, icing sheets and wafer paper as it is. But I have been looking to cut maybe some rolled fondant or gum paste designs which it seems cannot be done using just the regular silhouette blade. 

Has anyone done it without linda's kit? 

I read on some forums, that you can use cricut deep cut blades.....can you use these blades in the blade housing provided by silhoutte?? Or do I have to buy linda's kit. 

Don't get me wrong....Its just that its going to cost another $100 for the kit, I had budgeted myself for the cameo machine only. 

But if her kit makes a big difference then I ll put that extra $100.
