AOk so as I'm driving around running errands it popped into my head that it would be awesome if there was a "hot glue gun" for chocolate. If this has been invented already I would love to buy one. It would be awesome for adhering decorations to cakes and lots of other cool things...if you take the idea and run with it let me know because I'll be first in line to buy one! Lol

Ajust put some melted chocolate in a parchment piping bag -- cut the tip off because you can unclog the tip easier than using a tube/tip --

either store it on a saucer placed on top of a small pot of barely simmering water or on a heating pad usually covered with plastic wrap -- just fold the tip over so it doesn't drip --

you can store it in the parchment and/or if it just hardens up put it in the microwave on gentle heat and squeeze it back and forth to rejuvenate it - holding the cut end so it doesn't squish out of course -- probably have to clip the tip off a bit -- but the warm choco will get things moving again --

there used to be a hot gun for sugar sticks -- the fake sugar can't think of the name -- but every time i checked on it they were sold out--

anyhow -- the choco is very doable -- best chocolating to you

Aand the microwave thing -- give it a few minutes in there after the power shuts off -- so the temperature all levels out --

easy peasy -- parchment bags

ATake the piping bag, wrap it in a heating pad and tie it with duct tape. Duct tape makes everything fancy.

It would have to be called  a 'luke warm glue gun' as chocolate is so temperamental with heat.

You could use the decorated duct tape to dress it up, too. :)

You guys are bringing to mind the old "red green show" from PBS.  Here's a link to the Duct tape Hall of Fame:

you're welcome lol.  We call it "100 Mile Per Hour tape"  as so many people use it on their airplanes and such.  Couldn't live without it. I probably have some in my purse along with my leatherman tool.

One could probably make a modeling chocolate covered cake, with long strips of mc wrapped around it and spray paint it with silver to look like tape.  Then toss in some tools. Like the newly invented chocolate gun!

It kind of fits this thread as they were always inventing cool new things that were from scraps. Their men's lodge motto was "when all else fails, play dead."  The handyman's secret weapon was duct tape. And the prayer for the end of the show was, ''I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess''

When I was younger and my hubby would watch this laughing, I thought that someone had been secretly filming in our Alaska neighborhood.   the chocolate gun made me think of all this.  Haven't tried Gorilla tape, but the commercials are pretty impressive!!

Every time my hubby fixes something he always finishes with "If the women don't find you handsome, at least they can find you handy!"  I think that's from that same Red Green show - boy humor! :P

I love the idea.  You could purchase chocolate sticks that look like the glue sticks in glue guns..................but all my mind sees is hot chocolate running out of the chocolate gun all over my counter...............maybe that's why it's never been invented??
