Hi  Experts,

Picked up this recipe from a blogging site. The recipe seems genuine as i found the same recipe in couple more blogging sites.

I always seem to  have a problem baking pound cakes. They always get baked in 10-15 mins as opposed to 60 mins in the recipe and it is always underbaked ,looks cooked but smell n tastes raw!!
It is definitely nt the oven problem. Please can someone try this recipe for me.
desperately need to know where I am failing.

Eggless pound cake
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour

AI don't see that you wrote anything. But out of curiosity, why can't you try it?

Question sounds very, very familiar. Differences in where people are, the brands of products they buy, ovens, etc. would not be reproducible, so I don't see the point in someone making a cake, and pay for the ingredients, for someone in a different location/state/country.....

It may sound familiar because something similar happened a year or so ago. A member wanted someone to try a recipe she found. The "meanies" wanted to know why she couldn't do it herself. As the thread devolved and the anti-meanies jumped in, we learned that this member claimed to be a young girl in Georgia who didn't have enough money for ingredients. But s/he kept tripping up and let out a series of half-truths and contradictions. Does this sound familiar?

You said that you baked the cake for 10-15 minutes and the recipe called for it to be baked 55-60 min. And you don't know why it wasn't done in the middle? Why didn't you follow the instructions? You can't tell how done a cake is by looking at it.
