I was wondering if I could make a layered cake that has a vanilla sponge sandwiched between two lemon sponge slices with SMBC but I don't know if the flavours would work and compliment each other and was looking for a more experienced bakers opinion.

Thanks so much,

Rhian

I think it would be great! I have often made 3 layer cakes with 2 layers being the same and another being a different flavor. I've done chocolate and vanilla, vanilla and red velvet, and strawberry and lemon. I think your lemon and vanilla would be delicious!

Good luck!

Thanks so much, I have often seen choco/van, and van/red velvet but I had never seen lemon and vanilla so couldn't decide if it would work, thanks for replying.
