I LOVE this cake and want to duplicate it for an upcoming birthday.  My question is the bottom tier rose images.  Any suggestions on how they were made?  Or how I can reproduce something similar without hand painting (which I am NOT good at!)?  Thanks!

Ait looks like the flower was stamped on because they are differing in strength -- could also buy or cut a stencil for that effect -- you could also use an edible ink marker

ATo me, they look like edible images on royal icing.

Printed edible rice/wafer paper, punched/cut in circles, pasted over scalloped fondant circles.
