AI have some edible glitter to add to small fondant accents for a cake. I'd like to just glitter them now so it's done, but they won't be used till a week from now. Will the glitter hold up ok if I do it now, or should I glitter them day of? Also, what's the best way to make the glitter stick to the fondant without making it all sticky? Any advice is great :)

I would wait to add it until placing the deco on the cake.  To keep the stickiness to a minimum, just *lightly* brush the deco w/a very little bit of water or piping gel just before sprinkling on the glitter.

What kind of glitter is it?  I would most likely wait until it's going on the cake as well.

Another caution:  If it's edible glitter made with sugar you don't want to put water on the area before applying the glitter, try the smallest amount of Karo instead.  Karo won't melt the sugar glitter.

AOooh thanks DeniseNH. Some of it actually is sugar glitter. This was my first time making it. Thanks for the advice!
