How much cake do you recommend to couples that they get when other desserts are being served?

For example:  guest count is 200.

They are having cheesecake and ice cream as well.  Apparently the caterer says they provide enough of each for all guests.  Suggestions on how much cake they should order?  I don't think they also need 200 servings of cake.

I've had other wedding where other desserts are being served in addition to the cake but all those brides still wanted enough cake for all the guests.  I've never had one that is also having ice cream.

AI always bake enough for 60% of the total number of guests invited, not the number actually coming. So if 200 people were invited, I would make sure there is enough cake for 120 people. And because another dessert is being served, I would probably recommend to the couple that they could reduce the servings to 80-100 if they like. Hope this helps!
