Hi Everyone!!

I'm new to cake decorating and i really want to try out gilding Ron Ben-Israel style! I just wanted to know what's the best dust to use when it comes to gilding for the most metallic outcome possible? Hope you guys can help! I've been reading all the other threads on this and I'm just so confused as to which product is better! Here are the options I'm considering:

NY Cake Gold Highlighter:

Global Sugar Art Gold Highlighter:

NY Cake 24k Gold:

NY Cake 18k Gold:

NY Cake Super Gold Luster Dust:

I've been reading different things and I just wanted to know how to gild fondant. I also read that some add vodka, while others add oil and others add lemon extract?  Thoughts on these products? THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE HELP!

AI can't really help in terms of which one is best. But when you are mixing the dust the number two top choices are vodka or lemon extract. I use lemon extract cause I just always have it.

ANot sure how familiar you are with those products, but most of that is not edible material. Meaning, you could use it on pieces that will be moved from the cake.

I can't say for sure which one RBI uses but this one is excellent. Seems expensive but it will literally last you your whole lifetime.
