This should help you gauge how tall it is. I didn't do enough image searching to find out who made it.
You can make it 5ft tall, yes. Just secure all those dummies very well and use the correct supports in the real cakes.
Please make sure you charge megabucks for this cake - there is a lot of detail work and you will likely have to have the dummies custom made too.
Personally, I think having a cake taller than yourself is incredibly pretentious, but each to their own.
I' m agree with you, this is ridiculous big... but yes, I understand with her style.
thanks so much for your help...
somebody know who made this cake, and how tall it is?
I have had asked to make this pillow wedding cake
I'm thinking make 2 real cake and the rest dummy cakes
I think this will be 3 feet tall but the bride want this 5 feet tall, I not sure if can be that tall
How much cake do they need to serve? If you can get enough cake out of teh bottom 2 tiers, I would do the rest in dummies. http://www.dallas-foam.com/cake-dummies/standard-cake-dummies/pillow-cake-dummies.html
This is the guy who made that cake: Chef Omar Addihaoui of Opera Cafe
He is an amazing cake maker btw, check this one out. Those roses are as big as his face.
I think I found their FB page:
And that's enough distraction for today! Back to work for me.
Thanks so much for the information !!
Just had a peek at his page Leanne, wow some of those cakes are enormous!
Great job!!! Which two layers are real cake?
