I'm looking for a recipe for a cinnamon maple buttercream that can be piped. I want to use it on a pumpkin spiced angel food cake. I made a cinnamon maple icing to use on it, and while it tastes amazing, it's very runny and not very "icing" like. I also made a pumpkin pie spiced glaze to put on top of the icing. Any recipe help will be appreciated!! I have to figure out this icing in the next 3-4 days! If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

I want to be able to use maple syrup in the recipe because I do not have plain maple flavoring.

Why can't you just take your regular buttercream, add cinnamon and add maple syrup instead of your regular liquid...

If that would make it too runny, boil the maple syrup down to make it thicker and use it that way...

AHere's the recipe I made but got too thin/runny:

2C powdered sugar 1/4C maple syrup 2 tsp cinnamon Water (small amount)

What can I add to this recipe to make it a spreadable nice icing? It has such a great flavor!!

Do you not use any crisco, butter or margarine?

This is a glace icing, but it is not a butter cream.  It is meant to be poured or drizzled.

I know it's a glaze.. I would like to turn into a spreadable icing .. Not sure how to go about it though.

AI would do the 7 minutes maple sirup icing and add a little cinnamon to it.

AI love this one too! It´s an ABC, but you'll need "maple butter" to make it. I dont know if you have acces to that. There is no cinnamon in it but i would omit de vanilla and add a pinch of cinnamon.

1/2 cup crisco 1/2 cup butter (1/2salted for me) 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 cup maple butter 3 cup powdered sugar 2-4 tbsp maple syrup
