AHi

everyone I have made cakes for always says there so light and fluffy this is the recipe that I use

For chocolate cake

225g butter 225g caster sugar 200g self raising flour 25g cocoa powder 1 1/4 tea spoons baking powder 4 eggs

Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees Put the butter and sugar into a bowl and mix till creamy then sift in the flour. Baking powder and cocoa powder and mix. Then add the eggs and beat till creamy and mixed well. Put in tins and bake for 25-30 mins or until cake tester come out clean and the top is springy put on racks to cool.

For plain cakes

The recipe is the same just change the flour from 200g to 225g and take out the cocoa powder

I hope this helps you good luck with your cakes :D

Cathy
