I have an upcoming cake, on which the client has requested a Red Velvet tier. I typically use the Wilton (crisco) buttercream recipe as a base, then create various flavors. I like that I do not have to refrigerate the cakes.
I tested a cream cheese flavoring yesterday. I am not sure that, that is the best option. But then, I have sadly never liked the taste of cream cheese icing.
Any suggestions on great tasting, non dairy recipes? Needs to hold up under fondant.
