Does anyone have any funny ideas for a mortuary cake? A friends husband is graduating from school and she wants to do something funny for him!!!

Or you could always bake one in the shape of a body. (Presumably "a cellular peptide cake, with mint frosting.")

ok -- one of the ideas above with a hand sticking out holding up a sign that says

  • "congratulations"
  • "can we get this show on the road"
  • "took you long enough"
  • been dying for you to finally graduate (but i really don't think is funny but your client might)

or you could do a cemetary scene with a granite stone and a newly turned grave or a newly dug grave -- and on the stone say "Dave, congratulations on your big day and put the dates he started & completed mortuary school" and a lotta daisies...

this is a tough subject for funny -- but there's a few ideas

This is a wacky thread...and I'm happy for the laugh!

How about a hearse with the door open in the back that says "get in"?

or a "platter" of drinks that are labeled embalming fluid, the "drinks" can be mini cakes and the platter can be cake as well.

I love the idea of the embalming fluid...................that idea can be dressed up to be a lot more partyish than a casket.  Like a large martini glass filled with liquid - sign attached saying embalming fluid then a cake with the usual graduation hat (in black of course).
