AI'm making a wedding cake- 6, 9, and 12 inch- and covering it with fondant. I'm looking everywhere for a 9 inch separator plate with no scalloped edges, and I'm having no luck. I'm afraid that the scalloped rim will show on the edges and I don't want the base of the cake to look uneven when I put my fondant on. However, I heard that the edge of a 9 inch separator plate with scalloped edges will not show since the cake is exactly 9 inches. Is that true? Or should I use a smaller separator plate?
