Can anyone share a firm chocolate cake that would be good for carving? Bonus if it is non-dairy!

Perhaps a mud cake?  There are many recipes on this site, but this is the one I've made, and I think it would be quite good for carving.

It's difficult to get a chocolate cake that's firm enough.  The other alternative would be a pound cake.  I've "created" a pound cake by adding pudding mix to a recipe, which helps firm the cake up a bit.
