I have a bride that wants a cake like the pic below.  Any ideas of what I could use in place of dragees??  Since they are not edible I don't want to put them all over the cake.  I have found edible silver/gold pearls but they are only in one size.  I could make them, but I really don't have the time.  Any suggestions and sources would be greatly appreciated.

AThe top left cake is actually piped in royal icing, with lots of differently sized beads, and then you go back and paint the beads that you want gold, and you can add lustre to others. This is pretty time consuming in itself. Alternatively, you could roll fondant balls in lots of different sizes and roll them in lustre dust, bu you are right, this is quite time consuming. Dragees are edible - they're just not very pleasant to eat. It's not as though they are poisonous or toxic, so you can use them for decoration.
