AI finished a fondant covered, fresh strawberry filled cake Saturday morning at 1 am! I left it out with my ac running at 61 all day but last night (Saturday at 10pm) I decided to put it in the fridge. We plan to eat it today around 3. Is it still good to eat since it had fresh strawberries? Should I take it out of the fridge now? Someone please help I'm new to this ://

ccdcakes - I think lots of  your CC friends would be interested to hear how your cake turned out.  Although it's true that fondant is a great "sealant", it's also true that any fresh fruit, even - if not more so - that is "sealed", likes to "goo" and mold very quickly. For this reason, you will notice that most avoid fresh fruits under most all conditions, but what did you find for yourself?  Happy Baking --
