Icing In The Bag - How To Warm Up?

We have several pastry bags where we keep different icings in, both buttercream and cream cheese. What's the best way to warm these up out of the fridge without compromising the icing?  We're reluctant to keep them out at room temp for very long.

 

Right now, we are warming them up by hand.
