Reviews say that this cake is pretty moist and I was wondering if i could freeze it and then carve it easily for a Nikon DSLR camera? I don't really want to do a mudcake since its ingredients are expensive with all the chocolate and butter, and its just for a friend

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 2/3 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Hellmann's® or Best Foods® Real Mayonnaise
  • 1 1/3 cups water

Please advise me on if it can be carved.

it's hard to vouch for a particular recipe's carvability without ever having made it-- i know that mayonnaise cakes are moist and good and a camera should be fairly straight forward, a rectangle more or less--there's just too many variables to decide for you if it would work well but it probably would--

best to you

AI have made that cake often. It is delicious, but is wouldn't use it for carving.
