Hi all,

I had been trying to figure out how to make my NFSC cookies chocolaty... So I made half the recipe (3cups of flour) and substituted 1/2 cup of the flour for cocoa powder. Not very chocolaty for my taste. Then I added 3 Tablespoons of Hershey's chocolate syrup and 1 teaspoon of instant coffee powder. That hit the spot! So I wanted to share my chocolate version for half the recipe in case someone else was looking for a version that was more chocolaty:

This is for half the NFSC recipe:

1/2c cocoa powder (in place of 1/2c flour)

3T Hershey's chocolate syrup

1tsp instant coffee powder

I hope you enjoy it too! :D

You're welcome! I only found recipes that used either coffee, cocoa powder, or baker's chocolate, not a combination, so I did my own. Okay, so choco syrup isn't baker's chocolate, but I was feeling lazy and melting chocolate right the first time isn't my strong point, ha ha.

you can put those little mini chococolate chips in them and still do a roll out dough with cookie cutter cut outs. Yummmmmmm
