I just painted fondant for the very first time. I added gumtex to the fondant before rolling it out but like with my other decoration (that I made 4 days ago), it isn't drying! How can I successfully transfer this onto my cake without it falling off? I assume I can't stand it upright since it isn't firm. It's currently on parchment paper.

a) How to transfer?

b) Where did I go wrong?

Thank you!

MMF, about 1/2 tsp. gumtex and gel with vodka

Stick it in the freezer for a few minutes.  Use a big spatula with corn starch on it to pop it off the paper and on to the cake it goes!  If you are in a humid area there might be some condensation, but if you don't leave it in for long and let it dry without touching it,  it shouldn't be enough to bother the painted part.
