To me it looks like coloured sugar, sugar crystals. They seem to be larger pieces at the bottom tier and smaller at the top tier.
ok - tks. That was what I was thinking and then I saw the larger pearls on there.
I saw the larger pearls to. And the sugar seems finer as it goes up the tiers. I haven't seem sugar that colour, but I'm sure it exists somewhere.
Good luck making the cake, I like it, it's very pretty!
Tks a lot.
The bigger white pearls look like dragees.
AAll I see on there is various sizes of dragees
AYes I see the dragees. Do you think the rest is done with sugar crystals?
AI can't get a great close-up, but it looks like those simple silver sprinkles from the grocery store (Wilton I believe), the ones that aren't round but little rectangles. They all seem to be the same size just less as it goes up and large silver Dragees.
I know, its hard to see. Tks

It may have been sprayed in gold, or some other color, after they made the lines and if they did, the biggest dragees were added after.
If that's the best picture you have of that cake, you're never going to know what was actually on there and it would probably make sense to just work up a plan to make your cake look the way that cake looks to you in your head. Does that makes sense? Haha :-D
If that's a picture the customer sent you, then ask for a link to the original picture they saw. You need to see what the customer has in mind. They think you can see what they did from this tiny picture and you can't .
I know what you mean. That was the photo provided by the customer. Tks for everybodies feedback. I will work further with the customer.
They might be edible Gelatin Sequins.
I do like the gelatin. Their neat.
Even with the larger picture, I still can't tell what it is.
All I see are two sizes of silver dragees and silver sanding sugar.
yes, this. No gelatin at all. The silver is the last one listed here: http://www.wilton.com/store/site/product.cfm?id=8875D420-1E0B-C910-EAEE0F9BF972654A&killnav=1
ATks. I will go with the sanding sugar.
