I have the wilton gel colors, but before I start using them wanted to know any tips on getting the MMF to look so vibrant?

Just use a lot of pink but that lime green doesnt look like its from Wiltons?

This cake is so darn cute!  And, yes, very vibrant.

It's possible that they were pre-made colors, or MMF where you can color while you are mixing it up.

I tend to get tired of mixing in coloring when I am trying to vibrant.  Mine end up looking more muted.

I would suggest just to keep adding coloring and cornstarch or powdered sugar when it gets too sticky.  Someone else may be better able to answer which one works better.  Like I said, I usually tire out and give up and say "it's good enough".  But after seeing this.....I'm not so sure!

AAmericolor electric colors. I promise you they will be vibrant! Like hurt your eyes vibrant sometimes. Then they either brushed or sprayed pearl on it to give it a sheen

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Found a place less than 5 mins away from my house that sells the Americolors for $1.95!!!

Im placing an order and was wondering, for the above cake should I go with...

Electric PINK

Electric GREEN

Chocolate BROWN

What about the monkeys face? How about Americolor IVORY? Too light?

And for the SHEEN, which pearl to go with?

GOLDEN CHARM LUSTER DUST - STERLING PEARL SHIMMER OR

SUPER PEARL LUSTER DUST - STERLING PEARL SHIMMER

Also any idea how to get the monkey face with such clean lines?  Could it be a cookie cutter??

You can do the monkey  if you simply print out a similar monkey image and use it as your  own template , cutting the fondant with an exacto knife . For the monkey face you could use either ivory color , copper ( usually used for skin color) , even very light peach color would do the job . I think the brown fondant is actually chocolate fondant ( already made) . The other colors are spot on and you will  see how bright and beautiful they are . Good luck to you :)

Totally agree! Americolor electric colors are vibrant, I had used Wilton before and couldn't get the same color. I have been slowly weeding out my Wilton colors and replacing with all Americolor.

AI would suggest maybe making your own MMF and adding the color into the melted marshmallows before adding powdered sugar. Saves a lot of time kneading in color. And if it's still not bright enough, at least it still won't be as much work as working with white fondant.
