hey guys,

has anyone ever attempted a funfetti cake w/out using the actual box mix? let me clarify... i tried doctoring up the mix and it wasn't fantastic but the client wants funfetti. i was thinking about making the almond sour white cake from here and just adding the sprinkles... any ideas? thanks in advance icon_biggrin.gif

I've never tried it but I don't see why it wouldn't work. The regular Funfetti mixes just have a packet of sprinkles to dump in the cake mix.

Seems to me it's the same thing.

Hmm...I would think putting sprinkles in would do the trick...but not sure icon_confused.gif

Just add jimmies (that's New England for sprinkles) - any color - works like a charm!

I added red, white and blue to a 4th of July cake!
