Hello :) A customer sent me this picture of a cake, and wants this same cake in a heart shape! Now, my question is:

1) Are these flowers made of fondant or gumpaste?

2) If gumpaste, could i get a link where I can learn all about gumpaste and how to make flowers with it? since i have never used it before

Secondly, this cake is covered with fondant. If I cover the cake with mango buttercream very neatly, could I set the flowers over it without messing it up?

Thank you!

Those are gumpaste flowers. Search  on you tube gumpaste flowers and a whole lot will come up. You will need some cutters. I make my gumpaste, you might find the recipe in one of my posts. HTH.

AI have put gumpaste flowers on a buttercream cake. You just have to make sure you get the placement right the first time. If you have to move the flowers, it can leave a mark in your frosting.
