The bride wants a RED script initial, less than 2 weeks till wedding. She's deferred to me.  Should I just do one in gumpaste? It's an L so I'm uneasy about it being secure up there.  I've thought about just painting a silver metal cake topper letter red... but then wondering about food safety on that.   Thoughts would be appreciated.

AI'm thinking that If you cut one out and let it dry it should be fine...but I've never actually tried it. I have a book where the lady says it could be done....maybe somebody will be able to be more definitive

AMade it with candy clay and dusted with pearl dust; worked nicely and set up quickly.

AI make them all the time, I like to use Word for the script, size as needed then print on card stock. I use Gumpaste and make two, I will sandwich them with floral wire between so they look quite thin. Sometimes I'll add matching disco since its not something they're eating.
