AI'm making a separated 4 tiered cake with black ribbon wrapped around the bottom of each tier, so I'm considering using a black foil cake drum so the white separator plates don't show. Would you use a smaller separator plate than the actual cake? It seems if I'm going to the trouble of using a black cake drum the same size plate would show. What do you think?

Of course I need the separator plates because I'm using columns to separate.
