I always make more cake rounds then I need just to be on the safe side.

Currently I have 3 9 inch cake layers in the freezer just "chilling" hehe:-D. Rather than toss them out what can i do with them?

I never carved or sculpted a cake....is there anything I can do with these rounds so I can at least bulk up my portfolio?

I keep unused cake layers and use them the next time I need to make that size, if there isn't one on the horizon I might use them for friends celebrations or to try out something I've been really wanting to do.

Good idea. I'm not that busy yet to save them until the next time but i have wanted to try my hand at carving. But, i don't know what i can carve out of something that small.

Cake pops?? Crumble them up, mix in some butter cream and squish them into balls of cake and cover them in chocolate.

AOoh there's lots of potential for carving 3 9s if you decide to have a play, you could do a car, a short fat one like a mini...

Also a cute lion face, keep the bottom two layers uncared and carve the top into the face using excess to build the nose up an extra 'layer'...

What else... A side on big fat fish....

I'd crank up the heat, lock the front door, then sit down with cake and a big fat glass of cold milk.

Hahaha noooo. Ever since I started seriously baking 2 years ago I've gained 25 pounds. I can hardly fit my clothes now. Whew
