A[IMG][/IMG] here is my cake ... this first time I've ever made a cake using homemade marshmallow fondant ...I'm just a home Baker have made cakes for my kids and their various events for years....this cake was for my fiancée birthday this weekend ..took me about 25 hours to make all the fondant sea stuff....this site helped me so much in doing the tiers and stacking the cake! I definitely learned alot making this time id make everything smaller and less of it....i guess i was picturing my cake being bigger lol but it looked good and everyone loved it...even those who told me they hated fondant loved mmf fondant!

AMarshmallow fondant was very easy to make for a beginner ....recipe i found was 4 cups mini marshmallows 4 cups powdered sugar 2 tablespoons water ...melt marshmallow in microwave add water i put in my stand mixer and gradually added about 3 cups sugar...used the rest of sugar kneading it in on my counter ..u can add color to it ...u can roll it out into sheets to cover cake or make shapes out of it...its like edible playdoh....yummy edible playdoh....i had to stop myself from eating my leftovers lol

A[IMG][/IMG] My favorite one ...i used icing bag tips for the designs in his fins and for the fish since i didn't have the shell tool for fondant and on the coral rock i used the star tip
