Have you worked with fondant before?  Just asking because of your last question.  If not, this cake is going to be quite a bit of work, there is a ton of detail in it

AI have been practicing with it for about the last two weeks and I'm taking a whole day to do it so hopefully can work it out :D

The cake drum/board on the bottom is covered in fondant and then a ribbon is stuck around the edge.  The other decorations on the bottom are put on after the cake has been positioned.  Add some tylose to your fondant to stiffen it abit before you make your figures and this will help stop them from sagging.  Fondant does not need to be set in the fridge but your cake might need to, depending on what sort of filling you use.  You could make most of the extra bits in advance and then add them after the fondant is on.  This is a rather ambitious cake for someone who has not worked with fondant before.

Way to a man's heart is surely through the stomach...... but sadly they ALSO seem to place a lot of emphasis on the packaging!   hahaha

Don't worry about what it looks like - take your top off when you hand it to him !!    bwahahaha

Aw that's cute :).  Well if you've been practicing, then thats a great start.  You've already got some great advice from cazza.  I would also give yourself more than the one day to do this if possible.  Do all your baking one day, cover in fondant the next, then stack and do all your detail work on day 3.  It will save your sanity!  The details always kill me and make me wish I had given myself more time.
