Hi everyone,

I'd like to incorporate lyrics of a song into a cake that I'm making for a friend.

I've looked at having them printed on ribbon, but no one seems to do that customised, it's normally just repeating "Happy Birthday"

I'm not very good at piping and wouldn't like to write on the cake if I can help it.

Does anyone else have any ideas at all?

Thanks

Lauren

Yes, purchase a set of tappits and cut each letter out of very thin gumpaste and put into place.  They come in a few different fonts (block, script and funky).

Can you have them printed on edible image sheets?

AYou could print it on paper yourself and glue strips around the cake board

You could get a page of lyrics printed on wafer paper and wrap a strip around the bottom of your cake like a ribbon (just email someone on ebay who sells wafer paper cupcake toppers they'll nealy always print one for you very reasonably)

Personally I would mask out a band slightly off centre and lightly hand paint them in nice flowing handwriting repeating at a nice shallow angle. The writing finishes nice and crisp when you remove the mask.
