AJust need some basic opinions on how much you would charge for something like this ..
I calculated all costs of the cake And hours I'll spend making the cake and my hourly pay rate.
Cake is going to be a 6' 8' 10' With different shoes on top I've posted the shoes I'll be making It came out to 350 Part of me feels like it's too much but the other part feels like its probably worth more What did u get ?
I'd really appreciate advice as well , thanks
AThat's how a lot of us would calculate the costs. Others would say; don't forget extras like costs of running your oven, water, paper towel, dish detergent, etc. It might seem like a lot of money but it's a 3 tiered cake. Some here would charge a lot more.
I was in the same predicament as you but now seeing how labor intensive cakes are as opposed to cupcakes definitely charge a good amount just for basics and up charge for the more specialty stuff you are adding. Those two cakes you showed would definitely be worth charge a good prices. I can now see why cakes cost so much money! Here are couple of sites I used to help me out and for me it doesn't hurt to research businesses in your area esp the professional cake shops to see what their going rates are. Hope these links help:
