AHi there. Was wondering what brand is best to bake in the cake batter. I've heard someone say that some "melt" as you fold them in & you can't see them when the cake is cut. Found CK & Cake Mate bulk on Amazon but was unsure of which to purchase for my scratch funfetti cake Thanks :-D

AI have always used the ones at Walmart. They are in a larger container and costs $3-4. They look great when you cut the cake!

AI am only guessing...maybe it's the difference between a thick batter vs a thick one? The extra liquid in a runnier batter would make them melt? I dunno. I think I saw the same blog as you with this comment from a viewer, not the blogger. We don't know the brand the viewer used, nor the cake recipe. Sorry I could not be of more help. I say use what is available to you easily and use a tried and true vanilla batter that you know is on the thick side....
