Hello! I have a very old oven, and each time I bake a sheet cake or round cake it come out with one side way taller than the other. It's so bad that even if I use my cake leveler there will be hardly any cake left. SO that being said. Anyone no how to level a cake (or make it more even) while it's in the oven? I have bake even strips, so I though maybe putting one underneath one side might help but I don't want to burn the house down. ;) I really need to know I have a cake order to do today! Any help is appreciated!

AI would level the oven itself by taking a level and setting it on top of the stove and then adjusting ( moving or place a shim under leg) until the stove until it is level.

You are most welcome. I have an old stove as well and if I move it to clean or even bump it to hard at times it will cook uneven until I level it. It's so bad I actual keep a level in my cake supplies. Also I use it to make sure my cakes are level since I do not have a cake leveler.
