The whole edible / non-edible but non toxic debate has been going on for SO long, it looks like we finally have an answer (here in the UK, at least!)
AI just find it amusing that people couldn't tell what it was themselves. Gee, put some on your tongue and grind it between your teeth. Does it dissolve? Does it feel like plastic? Duh. Come onnnnnn.
Oh this is awful. I have that stuff in my kit. I bought it from a cake supplier - not the internet. I am going to have to throw it all out - I spent a lot of money on it and have used it on removable decorations - so I'm hoping that nobody ate it.
AI use it on decorations that will be removed..but only if the ppl twist my arm and they really really want it. Only for adult parties.
I absolutely refuse to use this stuff for kids cakes, or cakes where kids will be around. They move too fast, you can't be sure a little one won't pick it up and go to town.
Now, its one thing to not know, but to stand up in the face of evidence to the contrary and declare that it is EDIBLE well that's just too far. Too far. I saw a VERY popular YouTube tutorial lady telling ppl disco dust was edible. Very distressing
AAs Alton would say,
Definitely NOT "Good Eats."
