This recipe is my favorite chocolate cake but I have one problem.

Every single time, cake stick to the side pan even i use oil and flour well so I have to run the knife or spatula to release the cake so that  side of the cake always get crumbly.

Is this just me?

Thanks.

I make that same cake, but I ALWAYS use parchment paper inside my pans...on the bottom and around the sides...

Try it...your cakes will never stick again.

AThe sides go crumbly on me too. Just try to wait longer before you take it out of the pan. It will set a bit more as it cools. I frequently wreck the sides of that cake.

Hi Sassyzan,

Does your cake pop out easily?

AI use parchment on the bottom of my pans, so the bottom comes out fine. The sides always seem to have a spot that needs loosening with a knife. My other cakes I can turn out even if I forget to run a knife around the sides. So I guess the short answer to your question is no.

OK. It seems like this cake is very moist but not easy to pop out .Next time I might bake a little bit longer...

Thank you for your quick reply!!!!
