It's my husband's birthday and he wants a black forest bundt cake.  I want to make one like this that I found on here. The OP says she made a bundt cake but my question is what did she use to fill the hole in the middle?  I did read that you could use a cupcake but unfortunately the cake is already in the oven and I didn't save any batter for a cupcake...  Would filling the hole with whipped cream support a thin layer of cherries or would it just fall?  Any other quick ideas?

If you fill it with whipped cream and cherries right before serving it should be fine.

Thanks, that makes sense, I'll have to try that option tonight.

AI made a birthday cake like that for a friend and inserted a ramekin into the hole with a little water and arranges five blood red roses to match the cherries or you could wire fresh cherries on the stem and haven't them spill over they top and sides?
