ACould I ice a cake with buttercream and then cover with fondant the next day? I'm kinda in a time crunch and wasn't sure if it needed to be "wet" for the fondant to hold.

You can. Just spray the icing with a small amount of water so the fondant will adhere to it. I always like to spray my cakes away from where I will be covering, so that the fondant won't stick to counter. Hope this helps!!
