Hello everyone, can anyone tell me how to get buttercream shiny looking? :)

Google it lots of idea's there and I have taken a hair dryer and heated it some and made it shine some. Just becareful not to melt it. good luck

I airbrush mine with pearl lustre for a pearly shine.

 

WBH's house buttercream is made sorta like a meringue bc without the eggs - it's been awhile since I have made it - but you cook the sugar with water, I think, and then add in the shortening.  If memory serves me right, it was pretty shiny...the pictures in their book were always so shiny and I think that is why.  Some were obviously sprayed with pearl...others just looked shiny.
