I am moving to Fairfax in Virginia this summer and was wondering if anybody is aware of any cake decorating school in Northern Virginia or Washington DC?  I googled this but all I could find was Wilton classes-but I am looking for more professional classes/school.  I realize that a lot of stuff can be learnt through You tube and craftsy-but I prefer a one on one kind of teaching/learning experience.

Thanks for your input!

The have a few cake decorating classes through the Fairfax County Public School Adult Continuing Education Program. There isn't as much variety as their use to be. But it's a great start. https://aceclasses.fcps.edu/SubjectListing.aspx?CategoryID=10411&ProgramID=364&ProgCatgName=Culinary&IsCourse=1&SubjectID=10268&AreaName=Cake+Decorating

You should also keep an eye on this website: http://www.cakeclub.com/CASANOVA/Welcome.html   lots of announcements about classes are here.

We also have a couple of nice cake shows, where you can get great classes. cakeclub.com and the great american cake show.

Another guy that does classes a lot http://www.bcakes.com/classes.html.

You can also classes here: also a great resource for supplies and you can order online and pick-up to save on shipping costs. http://beryls.com/new/
